Lorraine has returned from climbing Kilimanjaro and we’ll start with the bottom line, she made it to the top (hurrah!!).

After flicking through the photos from summit day we spotted something familiar, “No way!”, but it was! Lorraine’s old, faithful Derek Lewis flask where she kept her chocolate had made the gruelling journey.

So….How does a Derek Lewis flask end up on Mt.Kilimanjaro?

Lorraine Carey’s village in North Lincolnshire was hit badly by floods caused by November 2013’s sea surge. During these floods Lorraine had witnessed 3 horses enclosed in a flooded field and close to collapse, 3 RSPCA inspectors had arrived on the scene and cleared them to safety, it was at this moment that the wheel started to spin.
