St. Catherine’s Hospital, Doncaster
Project: Brand new car park at St Catherines Hospital
Duration: 23 Days
Value: £105,700
Key Works: Surfacing, Excavating, Drainage & Ducting
For these works our client required us to build a brand-new car park for its visitors. Following preliminary works, we excavated the existing area, disposed of arisings, and removed all spoil from site. Following completion of the earthworks we next supplied and installed the 300mm lighting column sleeves including the connection of adjoining ducts.
For the next phase, we supplied and laid aco road drains, 150mm plastic underground piping, as well as a rodding access point. Our team also installed a modular soakaway with overflow into the existing outfall. This was followed by the laying of the new drop, angle, and quadrant kerbs on the concrete bed with backing.
Surfacing works saw the laying of 935 tonne of MOT type One stone, 225 tonnes of 20mm binder course and 150 tonnes of 10mm SMA surface course. The fine results were further complemented by expert line marking works, designed to utilise space to the maximum, facilitating as many visitors to the premises as possible. The outcome saw the client express their great satisfaction with the quality of the works.
