Description
Working in conjunction with DMBC’s Highways Department we completed the £2.3 million A630 West Moor Link Exceptional Maintenance Scheme, a project of some scale.
A six phase project running over several periodical closures, our role was to plane out the existing kerb line and bituminous material, retread, grade and compact the exposed cementitious sub base, lay type 1 stone to form new build up levels and lay road base and binder course.
Further closures in the subsequent weeks when the carriageway was trafficked allowed masons to install kerbs, channels and set iron works to the desired levels. With civils works complete we returned to surface all footways, lay the binder and SMA surface courses.
The project was completed on time through the successful collaboration of ourselves, DMBC and other trusted sub contractors who all employed professionalism, dedication and hard work throughout.
